CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL AS & A LEVEL

A Level is a two-year course which includes Cambridge International Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS Level - Equivalent to grade 11) and Cambridge International Advanced Level (A Level - Equivalent to grade 12).

This qualification is pursued in high school by 16 to 19-year-old students from over 160+ countries, in order to prepare themselves for the universities and their higher education.

Cambridge International A Level qualification is globally recognised and valued in India and abroad.

This Programme is accepted as an entry qualification by universities in India and as a 10+2 qualification by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) into all professional and undergraduate courses.

Grading and Assessment

  • There is an assessment at the end of both programmes. Most subjects pursued in AS Level - Year 1 can be continued in A Level - Year 2.
  • Separate certificates are issued for each examination series.
  • A Level is reported on a grade scale from 'A*' (highest) to 'E' (minimum required performance). There is no A* grade for AS Level, which is reported from grade 'a' to 'e'.

Coming to CPGIS for A Level was probably one of the best decisions of my life. Excelling not only in academics but also in activities such as sports, drama, dance and music allowed me to become a well-rounded individual. The faculty was phenomenal and motivated me to achieve my very best; being one of the toppers in my school is a credit I owe entirely to my teachers. They believed in me even when I didn't, and they played a significant role in my journey to becoming a doctor. I am grateful for all the opportunities I had during my time at CPGIS, like participating in a national-level football tournament, learning a new dance form (salsa), and campaigning for and winning the student council presidency.
